Pet Holidays continued



Continuing form my last blog here are the pet holidays from July to December!

July:
·         Dog House Repairs Month, How about a new paint job? Or fixing that broken side panel?
·         July 4th Independence Day, don’t take your dog to the fireworks, it causes them to panic!
·         July 15th National Pet Fire Safety Day. Make sure your pet is safe, and away from fires.
·         July 31st Mutt’s Day. Take the day to appreciate the animals that aren’t pure breeds.
August:
·         August 1st DOGust Universal Birthday for Shelter Dogs. Happy Birthday to the millions of shelter dogs.
·         August 5th Work like a dog day. Spend your day trying to be a dog!
·         August 9th International Assistance Dog Day.
·         August 18th International Homeless Animals Day, Help a homeless animal out, take it the shelter or take it home.
·         August 26th National Dog Day, Spend the day pampering your pup.
·         August 30th National Holistic Pet Day.
September:
·         Last week of September National Dog Week, It’s all about the dogs this week.
·         Last week of September Deaf Pet Awareness Week, Celebrate the life of a deaf pet.
·         September 23rd Dogs in Politics Day. Recognize the dogs of politicians.
·         September 28th World Rabies Day. Make sure your pet is safe from rabies.
October:
·         Adopt a Dog Month. Thinking about adopting a dog? This is the month to do it
·         Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, going to adopt a dog? Get one from the shelter!
·         National Animal Safety and Protection Month, make sure your pet is safe!
·         National Pet Wellness Month. Make sure your pet is healthy
·         1st week of October National Walk Your Dog week, Just go for a walk every day!
·         October 4th Worlds Pets’ day. Honor your pet today!
·         1st week of October, Animal Welfare Week.
·         October 14-20 National Veterinary Technician Week.
·         October 16th National Feral Cat Day. This day is spent catching as many wild cats as possible, spaying or neutering them and then returning them to the wild.
·         October 28 Plush Animal Lovers Day, buy a plush animal toy and give it to your dog!
November:
·         Adopt a Senior Dog Month, although the puppies are cute adopt an older dog.
·         National Pet Awareness Month, tell your friends about your wonderful pet!
·         National Pet Cancer/Diabetes Awareness Month. That’s right pets have cancer too.
·         November 4-10th National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week. Appreciate the shelters and what they do for the lost animals of the community.
·         November 17th National Black Cat Day. Don’t you just love black cats?!

Well that is all the holidays to celebrate the pets!
